The Einherjar Cup 2023 Successfully Concluded
All the participants delivered splendid performances in this competition. The captivating clashes between a wide variety of weapons, the intricate offense and defense in the Mixed Weapon(s) Category, and the intense duels in the Two Handed Weapon Category made this competition incredibly exciting.
We tackled many challenges to organizing this open tournament for diverse steel swords: we accomodated different martial arts styles' weapon usage and fighting techniques, balanced different weapon designs through scoring, and sought a fair harmony between safety and fun. It was truly a valuable experience for all of us, and we will strive to bring an even higher-quality competition for everyone next time.
Lastly, we would like to express our gratitude to all the participants who took part in the competition. On top of that, we would like to deeply thank all the staff and volunteers whose contributions were indispensable. Each and every one of you played an integral role in this tournament.
We hope that our next Einherjar Cup will continue to provide a platform for fencers from multiple countries to showcase their skills!

Hello everyone!
We will hold the Einherjar Cup in 2023, the first steel sword open competition in Hong Kong!
There are two categories this time: Mixed weapon(s) and Two-handed weapon. The types of weapon entries are not limited to the European Longsword and Rapier in HEMA. As long as they meet our length, weight and safety restrictions, Steel Katana, Chinese Jian, etc. can also join the tournament and clash sparks! For detailed competition rules, please refer to the attached PDF.
The Champion, First Runner-up and Second Runner-up of each group will have rich prizes and details of the prizes will be announced one after another, so stay tuned! In addition, there are Technical awards in each category. If your performance is not only about scoring but being more elegant and skilful than other contestants, then the technical award voted by all contestants anonymously will be yours.
Sparring, combat, and the pursuit of excellence in technical performance have always been the core training concepts of the Einherjar HEMA club. I hope everyone will seize the opportunity to challenge themselves and put our swordsmanship into practice!
